Woman Arrested After Barricading In A Stranger's Home

 

ODESSA, TX --  The Odessa Police Department has confirmed a suspect is in custody after a chase, a shooting, and a standoff took place.

According to officials, an officer with OPD was conducting a traffic stop when the female suspect fled.

Officers later located the female in an alley and a foot chase began. Shots were fired during the chase, but no one was injured.

The woman then entered a stranger's home and barricaded herself inside.

The family who owned the house was able to get out of the house safely.

The situation was quickly resolved and the woman was arrested.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
