SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo Man was sent to a special prison for child molesters on Wednesday after he failed to complete a deferred adjudication plea deal with the district attorney's office.
According to court documents, on the Dec. 17, 2017, officers with the San Angelo Police Department learned that Aaron Sullivan had sex with a child under the age of 14.
Sullivan, who was 18-years-old, at the time allegedly met the child through a mutual friend. They were "dating" during the number of times they had sex and at one point the child was forced to take a pregnancy test.
Sullivan was indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
After months of court hearings, on Feb. 15, 2018, Sullivan received plea deal from the district attorneys office stating that if he pleaded guilty then he would be put on deferred adjudication ending in 2028.
Sullivan made it all the way up to Oct. 1, 2020 until Judge Carmen Dusek issued a criminal order demanding Sullivan turn his self in by Oct. 22.
At 2:51 p.m. Sullivan, 21, was booked into the Tom Green County Jail. He was then taken to the State Contracted Intermediate Sanctions Facility. The ISF prisons are set up for sex offenders. He will remain in prison for 10 years.
