Grape Creek Man Arrested for Lewd Acts with a Child

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man from Grape Creek was arrested on Tuesday after deputies claim he sexual abused a girl for a number of years. 

According to court documents, on Nov. 3, deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested Augustin Tapia for continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14. 

The child was a resident out of San Antonio that made an outcry to a school teacher. 

The child claimed that she was sexually abused for years every time she would come to San Angelo to for parental visitation over summer break starting in 2017.

While in San Angelo, the child and her brother were taken to Tapia's house while their father was at work. 

Throughout the years, Tapia is accused of inappropiately touching the child and "biting" the child in her private parts.

The most recent assault happened in the summer of 2020.

Tapia was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Nov. 3 and his bond is set at $75,000.
