Police Locate Suspect Accused of Killing Teen

 

MIDLAND, TX -- The Midland Police Department is investigating the murder of  18-year-old Cheyenne Valentine who was murdered early Monday night.

According to MPD, around 2:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Briarwood for reports of an unconscious woman.
Upon arriving at the scene officers found Valentine's body inside the house.

Valentine's boyfriend told police he had dropped her off at the apartment to visit a friend while he waited in the parking lot.

After a while, he went to the apartment after hearing a noise inside he forced his way in and found her unconscious.

Daniel Anderson was identified as a suspect in the case. According to witnesses, he ran out of the apartment.

The 18-year-old was arrested in New Mexico, the city has confirmed. He is facing murder charges.
