UPDATE: Goodfellow Reopens After Possible Bomb Threat

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Goodfellow Air Force has officially closed down due to a bomb threat, sources confirm. 

According to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department, on Oct. 19, a bomb sniffing dog alerted on a semi attempting to gain access onto the base. 

As of the now the base is shut down and traffic is blocked off from Edgewood to Goodfellow South Gate.

A bomb squad from Abilene is on the way to determine what the issue is. 

Glenmore Elementary has been placed on a precautionary lock down.

UPDATE 4:01 P.M.: 

Radio Scanner reports indicate that everything is "all clear" at Goodfellow AFB. 

Roads will reopen shortly.
