POLICE: 3 Shot in Early Morning Targeted Assault

SAN ANGELO, TX — Early Saturday morning, shots rang out in the quiet residential area on Colorado Ave. a few houses west of Johnson St. A tip from a neighbor to San Angelo LIVE! this morning claimed the shooting was a result of drugs. The neighbor claimed there had been arrests there previously. “It’s a gang member’s house I believe,” the tipster said.

When we drove by the area at approximately 4:30 a.m., police investigators could be seen combing a front lawn for evidence and the entire 2500 block of Colorado was blocked with a police cruiser at both ends.

The San Angelo Police Department confirmed the shooting Saturday afternoon. The SAPD Criminal Investigations Division said it seeks information about a shooting incident that occurred just before 4 a.m. at a residence in the 2500 block of Colorado Ave. Saturday morning.

Police said the victims, a 19-year-old male, a 20-year-old female, and a 21-year-old male, were treated at a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the incident was a targeted assault yet as of right now, no suspects have been identified.

...except when it comes to having a significant law enforcement presence. San Angelo does, and it
unfortunately, has a large amount of crime. We don't have the murders of Chicago, but we have sex trafficking, pedophilia, and all manner of drug-related problems. Don't walk around thinking that San Angelo is "white, bright, and right", because there's a cesspool about to overflow.
