Second Body Missing From Flooded Field Recovered

Anson, TX –  Search crews in Jones County yesterday recovered the body of a man who was swept away last week by heavy flood waters throughout the Jones County area.

According to Chief Deputy Alfaro, the body of Hobart Reed, 62, was recovered Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. in the Red Mud Creek area.

As previously reported Reed was believed to be riding with Felix Villegas on Wednesday Sept. 9 when their car was swept off FM 1226 by rushing flood waters from the flooded California Creek.

Villegas' body was found the following day approximately 100 yards away from a fence near where the car was found.
