Convicted Perv Arrested for Second Crime Against Child

ABILENE, TX — A Taylor County grand jury has indicted an Abilene man for what would be his second child sex crime.

According to court documents back in 2008, Kevin Wade McDowell was arrested for aggravated assault and indecency with an 11-year-old child.

In 2010, the 36-year-old pleaded guilty to indecency and received deferred adjudication. He was required to register as a sex offender as part of his plea agreement. McDowell was discharged from probation on April 21, 2020.

Two months later on June 22, McDowell was captured on a home security camera inappropriately touching a girl who is under the age of 17.
