Shooter in Whataburger Drive-thru Shooting Arrested

 

ABILENE, TX —The saga of the Whataburger drive-thru shooting continues as the victim who was shot during the altercation was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

According to KTXS, Wesley Aaron Benavides got into an argument with the individuals in a Toyota Tundra in front of him in the drive-thru line.

During the argument, Benavides got out of his Chevy Tahoe and opened fire on the Tundra. Someone in the Tundra fired back and Benavides was injured.

After being released from the hospital Benavides was arrested. His mugshot shows his left arm in a sling.

Benavides was booked in the Taylor County Jail and his bond was set at $175,000.
