UPDATE: Fugitive Who Caused Horrific Motorcycle Crash Caught

SAN ANGELO, TX – Officers with the San Angelo Police Department captured the fugitive who caused a crash Sunday with a motorcycle.

As first reported, on June 7, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of S Bryant and West Ave. L for the report of a major crash involving a motorcycle.

When officers arrived they found a White 2007 Ford F-150 and a 2015 Harley Davidson Breakout that had crashed in the middle of the intersection. The motorcycle was split in two and both passengers were seriously injured. Check out a video of the scene:

The passengers later identified as Jesus and Monica Calzada were transported to Shannon via ambulance. Jesus was later airlifted to Lubbock for surgery due to a brain bleed. The driver of the F-150 was no where to be seen.

Video footage later recovered from the Super 8, Studio 6, and officers Body Worn Camera noticed the driver flee the scene in a red shirt. On officers body camera the red shirted suspect is seen getting out of the truck and walk away towards the Super 8. Footage from the Super 8 shows the man enter the parking lot walk towards the North side of the building then exits on the East side of the lot.

Officers also determined that the Ford was East bound on W Ave. L and disregarded the red light causing the crash.  The Motorcycle was North bound on S. Bryant during the crash.

After further investigation the man was identified as Travis Christian. One of the identifying factors Christian was his frequency in the Tom Green County Jail. He has previously been booked for two driving while intoxicated, burglary of a building, public intoxication, and duty on striking unattended vehicle.

Chritian was located and arrested for accident involving serious bodily injury on June 9. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
