SAPD Searching for Copper Thieves

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department has issued a notice Tuesday asking the public to be on the lookout for two copper thieves.

According to the SAPD, The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is seeking help from the public in identifying two men who recently stole thousands of dollars worth of copper wiring from a local business on West 26th Street.

On Jan. 27, 2020, two men featured in the attached photos pretended to show interest in a truck and trailer that a local business owner had for sale but instead, the pair made off with copper wire that was also located on the property.

The men were driving a silver Dodge Ram pickup with a red utility trailer in tow.

If you have information about the identities and whereabouts of these men, please call (325) 657-4264. To remain anonymous, tip online at http://bit.ly/SAPDTips247 or by text: text TIP SAPD to 888777 and follow the prompts.
