MIDLAND, TX – A West Texas man listed on the FBI's Most Wanted Child Predators list has been captured in Mexico.
According to the FBI, Jose Navarrete Jr., 24, has been captured.
As first reported on San Angelo LIVE!, on Dec. 12, the FBI sent out a notice of a warrant that has been issued for Jose Arturo Navarrete Jr., 24, for multiple counts of alleged sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 as well as unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Navarrete is accused of four counts of lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14, three counts of sex act with a child 10-years-old or younger, and four counts of oral sex with a child 10-years-old or younger. The charges are filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of California.
He has experience in the oil field as his occupation listed is a welder's assistant. He was allegedly spotted multiple times before the arrest. Like when he was spotted in Big Lake. Check it out here.
The FBI's office in Sacremento has confirmed that Navarrete was arrested in Mexico and will be extradited back the US. He will then be tried by the Sacremento County District Attorney's Office.
