UPDATE: Amber Alert Cancelled After Child Found Safe

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- The Texas Department of Public Safety have issued an Amber Alert for a 2-Year-Old who was abducted by her father. 

According to the DPS, on November 4, the Texas DPS issued an Amber Alert for an abducted 2-year-old from the San Antonio area who could possibly be in West Texas. 

The child was taken today after the father kicked down the door of his estranged wife's home and assaulted her. 

Jaya and Juan Trevino were last seen entering a 2014 black Nissan Sentra bearing Texas license plate number MSK 1273. The home the child was taken from is located on Shaenfield Road, in northwest San Antonio.

Jaya is described as 3 feet tall and 26 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt with purple and pink letter spelling out “Big Sister.”

UPDATE 11:10 a.m.: 

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office have found the child safe and has been taken in for a medical evaluations for precaution. 

The father has been arrested and placed in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.
