Student Taken to the Office for Drugs but Principal finds Pistol Instead

 

ODESSA, TX -- A student has been charged with carrying a handgun on campus yesterday. 

According to CBS 7, administrators with Odessa High School received a tip about a student that had drugs on campus. 

After staff heard about the tip, the student was taken to the office and he was searched. 

They did not find any drugs on him but instead they found a pistol. 

A spokesperson with ECISD told CBS 7 that the student has been charged with a third degree felony.
