Fugitive Who Fled Deputies in Robert Lee Identified as San Angelo Sexual Assault Suspect

ROBERT LEE, TX – The Coke County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who fled from deputies earlier this week as Ezequiel Saldana, also known as Ezequiel Martinez.

Saldana is an undocumented male wanted on a sexual assault warrant out of San Angelo. Investigators believe he may have received help from family or friends to avoid capture and could be attempting to return to San Angelo or flee to Mexico.

Authorities warned that anyone found to have assisted Saldana could face charges for harboring a felony fugitive.

The sheriff’s office continues to follow leads to locate and apprehend him. Anyone with information on Saldana’s whereabouts is urged to call 325-453-2717 and not to approach the suspect.
