UPDATE: Chase Ends With Cyclist Hospitalized

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A man was hospitalized after a chase with Tom Green County Sheriff Deputies. 

According to TGSO on July 24 at around 10:30 a.m. a deputies with the TGSO attempted to pull over a cyclist after he ran a stop sign on the North Side of San Angelo. 

When the cyclist noticed the deputy he began fleeing on his bicycle in order to get away from the deputy. According to witness' on scene the chase began around 19th and Chadbourne. 

Multiple deputes apprehended the suspect at 11th and Volney. An ambulance was then called in due to the cyclist complaining of chest pains.

He is currently being treated for his injuries and will then be booked into the Tom Green County Jail. 

He will be charged with evading arrest with a previous conviction and multiple warrants.
