Mother's Day Shooter Plus Two Teens Caught Walking Streets with Weapons

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The suspect of the mother's day shooting was arrested again for gun charges.

On May 12, the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to 1618 S. Chadbourne for shooting in the area. When the officers arrived they found multiple shell casings as well as three bullet holes in the the House of Hookah lounge. 

Officers continued searching the area and found a white Chevorlet and a gold Chevorlet with multiple bullet holes as well as a trail of blood of the sidewalk north of the parking lot. 

The following day officers received anonymous tips that included a screen shot of the man and a video of the shooting. The tips led police to identify the shooter as 18-year-old Christian Perez. 

On May 14, officers met with the owner of the gold Chevorlet and saw the video of the gunfight. It began with Perez and a group of people assaulting a man on the ground. Then Perez walks up to the man and stomps him in the head. 

This is when an unknown male is seen in between the two vehicle pop out and the name Christian being yelled followed by gunshots. Later in the video Perez is seen walking through the parking lot firing a gun at the vehicles. 

On May 15, SAPD put out a wanted notice for the arrest of Perez. 

On June 3, Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested Perez for deadly conduct by discharging a firearm at 12:17 a.m. His bond was set at $100,000 and was released at 2:28 p.m. 

As of Thursday July 11 Christian has been indicted on the three counts of deadly conduct. 

According to the SAPD, Officers with the Department’s Anti-Crime Unit located Perez walking with other subjects in the 3800 block of Travis Street. Perez was taken into custody without incident.

Two other subjects, identified as 17-year-old Xavier Hernandez and a 16-year-old male juvenile, were also arrested. Hernandez was charged with Theft of Firearm after Officers located a stolen gun in his backpack. Hernandez reportedly obtained the gun during a recent vehicle burglary. The 16-year-old was charged with Unlawful Carrying Weapon after police found an extendable baton. 

Perez's bond is currently set at $150,000. 

Hernandez's bond is currently set at $7,500.
