ABILENE, TX-- An Abilene Christian University student was arrested on Wednesday after authorities say he used his dorm room to distribute child pornography.
Jacob Hutchison, 20, was arrested Wednesday at his dorm in the 1400 block of Cedar Crest Drive by the Abilene and ACU police department, KTXS reports.
Social media apps like KiK, TikToc, SnapChat and Dropbox were used to distribute the images, police say. Police believe those apps were used because of their popularity with teenagers.
Hutchison was jailed in the Taylor County Jail and charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
His bond was set at $30,000 on Wednesday.
