Brady Police Bust 4 on Drug Charges After Following Wanted Suspect into Home

BRADY, TX -- (Press Release)  Brady Police arrested four people on drug possession charges after following a wanted subject into a residence on Tuesday.

According to the Brady PD, at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were in the area of S. Blackburn and Atkins streets when they observed 33-year-old Trista Hoard who was wanted for a parole violation.  They made contact with Hoard but she refused verbal commands and entered a residence in the 1400 block of S. Blackburn and closed the door.

The officers then knocked on the door and got verbal permission to search the residence for Hoard.  They found her and placed her into custody.  While they were in the home, they observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in the living room where two males and a female were sitting.

Officers then searched and found approximately .2 grams of a clear crystalized  substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of packaged marijuana, several clear plastic baggies, a black digital scale and several drug pipes with marijuana and meth residue.

The four individuals were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.  The suspects are:  65-year-old Mary Wilson, 43-year-old James Wilson, 49-year-old Jeanette Flint and 42-year-old Darrell Teague.  Teague was also charged with possession of marijuana.

The four suspects were booked into the McCullough County Jail.  Mary Wilson was released on a personal recognizance bond.  Officers then returned to the house and got written permission to complete a more thorough search.  According to the PD, they found an additional 2.3 grams of methamphetamine precut and packaged in small clear baggies.

The Brady Police Department says this is an  ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible.
