Police Raid San Angelo Home and Found a Heroin Dealership

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Friday, San Angelo police executed a search warrant on a home in the 200 block Midget Street in San Angelo and seized heroin, THC wax, marijuana, methamphetamine, and items used for drug distribution. THC wax is a concentrated substance containing the potent ingredient in cannabis, or marijuana. It is usually more potent than the plant you smoke.

Arrested at the residence was Richard Duarte, 28, police said.

Police said they were acting on a search warrant signed by Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard that named Duarte as in possession of heroin.

Duarte was booked into the Tom Green County Jail accused of Manufacture/Delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 in a quantity of more than 1 gram but less than 4, a Second Degree Felony; possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, a state jail felony; and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2 less than 1 gram, a state jail felony.

Penalty Group 1 is heroin; PG 2 is the THC wax; and PG 2 also includes meth.

Police said the SAPD Street Crimes Division led the raid with assistance from the SAPD Patrol Division, a K9 unit, and the Center for Tactical Medicine.

As of 6:30 p.m., Duarte had not been offered bond.
