Drunk Driver Who Crashed at ASU Campus Identified

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The weekend arrest blotter shows the name of the woman who was arrested for driving while intoxicated with children in the vehicle on Sunday evening.

Monica Lynn Gutierrez, 23, was arrested after a crash near the Angelo State University Porter Henderson Library in the center of campus.

She ran down a signal light pole and power pole on Johnson Street in a silver Dodge Nitro.

Police were seen pouring out large cans of beer on the scene.

The children were unharmed and other family members retrieved them from the scene.

Utility crews worked several hours Monday to repair the damage.  

Gutierrez was released on a $7,500 bond on Monday.
