Man Found Dead on Top of Semi Trailer

SAN ANGELO, TX — Something is up behind the Chick-Fil-A just off FM 2288 at Sherwood Way. Police responded to what sounded to us like a discovery of a body.

The area of interest is in and around the truck tractor with semi-trailer.

The lot behind Chick-Fil-A, where the activity is, is used to park construction machinery.

We will have more when information is provided.

Update 3:46 p.m.

Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire (Pct. 2) has arrived presumably to pronounce the man discovered on the semi-trailer dead.

Update 4:30 p.m.

Justice of the Peace JP McGuire Pct. 2, who is on-scene to pronounce the man dead, said he believes the cause of death was due to a medical issue.

McGuire said that as late as 11:30 a.m. this morning, witnesses saw the man working on the load on the semi trailer. But this afternoon, he was not seen. At around 3 p.m., a passer-by saw a body slumped over the rear of the load, high atop the semi-trailer.

The truck appears to be hauling equipment for a new car wash facility, McGuire said.

McGuire suspects the cause of death was due to a medical condition. The man, who is from Green Bay, Wisconsin, was born in 1962, making him approximately 55 years old.

McGuire said unless evidence emerges that there was foul play involved, he is not ordering an autopsy.

The San Angelo Police Department CSI Division is conducting a crime scene investigation just to make sure.

“We won’t know anything more until the body is brought down and we can have a closer examination,” McGuire said.

Identification of the man is pending notification of next-of-kin.

The person publishing this picture- shame on you. Can you not think of the family and how they will feel seeing this?
What if this was your family???? So sad.

If he was from Wisconsin, he probably didn't realize how deceptive the heat can be here. It was really hot this morning and someone not used to it with a medical condition can be overcome very quickly.
