SAN ANGELO, TX— A 30-year-old San Angelo woman is accused of continuous sexual abuse of a minor girl using an object.
Miranda Donley has an alias; Miranda Lyna Ortiz according to a Capias Instanter filed with the District Clerk's office. She is charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to court documents, Miranda Donley was arrested and jailed in February on a charge of sex abuse of a child continuous, the victim was under 14 years of age. She was out on $40,000 bond.
Donley was arrested again last week after her bond company told the court that she hadn’t checked in with the bonding company, she failed to tell the bonding company of a change of address and phone number. The bonding company said Donley is flight risk.
According to court documents, Donley committed two or more acts of sexual abuse between June 21, 2015 and August 10, 2016. Donley is accused of “Indecency with a child by contact, intentionally and knowingly causing contact with the genitals of (the minor girl) with an object and with the intent to arouse and gratify the sexual desire of the said Defendant (Donley).
A police officer was dispatched to the minor’s home on August 12, 2016 to interview her mother. The mother reported that she had taken her daughter to Donley’s home for a visit. The mother told the officer she had left her daughter with Donley while she conducted personal business. The child was allowed to stay overnight with Donley. She complained of being sexually abused when her mother picked her up the next day.
The child’s mother told police that her daughter told her, “that (Donley) had touched her vaginal area with a pink and white toy. The child told her mother that the toy made a buzzing sound and it tickled when (Donley) touched her vaginal area with it.”
The first degree felony is punishable by 5 to 99 years or life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
