Alleged San Angelo Perv Arrested for Touching Sleeping Child Inappropriately

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for touching a child while they were sleeping.

On Aug. 12, 2025, Jacob Wilkins, 50, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

According to court documents, an investigator was contacted by a police officer after the child victim’s parents filed a police report regarding sexual abuse. At the police department, the child victim was interviewed and said Wilkins touched them at home. The interview was stopped, and a forensic interview was arranged.

After the forensic interview was complete, it was observed where the child victim said Wilkins contacted their genitals with his hand through their clothes.

A witness was interviewed and stated the child victim said Wilkins made inappropriate contact with their genitals while they were sleeping.

Wilkins was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail and is being held on $100,000 bond.
