Aggravated Assault Charge Dropped; Child Molester Gets Five Years for Indecency with a Child in Plea Deal

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Oscar Guzman was sentenced to five years in prison in a plea deal that dropped an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge late Monday.  

According to court documents, Guzman pled guilty to indecency with a child by sexual contact in exchange for the court dropping the charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child which is a first degree felony.  

The 51-year-old was indicted for sexually assaulting a female younger than 14 on two separate occasions in 2004.  

Guzman was jailed in December of 2016 and remains in the Tom Green County jail.
