Hispanic Male Kidnaps Woman on N. Jackson Street

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- The San Angelo Police Department is searching for a Hispanic male this afternoon, after a possible assault and kidnapping occurred in the 600 block of N. Jackson Street this afternoon. 

According to a SAPD Nixle update, local law enforcement officers are searching for a Hispanic male who was observed assaulting a Hispanic female before forcing her inside a vehicle. The vehicle, a newer model black, 4-door, Chrysler passenger car, was last seen headed westbound on Shiloh. 

The SAPD has described the car as having no front license plate but a partial rear temporary tag of 57881. The vehicle was also observed as having a dark blue dealer label on the rear side of the car and silver trim around the windows. 

The suspect is described as being a bald Hispanic male, around 5'08" and weighing between 180-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black shirt, and blue jeans. The victim is described as having long brown hair to the buttocks, and being 5'06" and weighing 170-180 pounds.

UPDATE: 4:40 p.m.

Tracy Gonzalez, SAPD's Public Information Officer, said in a written statement this afternoon, that this incident may be related to a domestic violence case, however, the relationship between the victim and suspect remains unknown at this time. 

The suspect and the victim were reported to be in their early to mid twenties.
