Since our last update, 25 more people made their way to the Tom Green County Jail, including a 41-year-old Krista Goldsmith, who allegedly threatened a man with a gun following a verbal dispute over parking in front of her residence.
Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for the San Angelo Police Department, said just after 3:30 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the 2000 block of Walnut Street for the report of an armed subject.
“Upon arrival, officers learned a 46-year-old male victim was doing work to a nearby house when a woman pulled up alongside his vehicle and appeared to be angry,” said Gonzalez. “The woman then aggressively pulled into a driveway and began to yell at the man for parking in front of her house.”
Gonzalez said the woman allegedly yelled racial slurs at the man before she went inside the residence, retrieved a gun and pointed it at him.
“Officers spoke with several witnesses and reviewed a cell phone video, which supported the victim’s story and showed the suspect pass an object believed to be the gun to an acquaintance prior to officer arrival,” noted Gonzalez.
Goldsmith claimed she pointed a black Vapor e-cigarette at the victim; however, police located a semi-automatic handgun that matched the description of the gun used during the incident inside Goldsmith’s residence.
Officers arrested Goldsmith for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported her to the Tom Green County Jail.
In addition to Goldsmith, 12 of the 25 people arrested had new complaints, 11 had outstanding warrants, and two people had both new complaints and outstanding warrants.
