Alleged Murderers and Sex Offenders Fill Tom Green County Courthouse

 

Citizens of the Concho Valley accused of many different crimes met today in Judge Ben Woodward’s 119th district court for pretrial. These crimes include murder, sexual assault of a minor and criminal negligent homicide.

In one case, 24 year-old Angel Hernandez, who stands accused of sexual assault of a child, had a notable pre-trial case in Woodward’s court. He pleaded not guilty of his charges; therefore, a jury trial is scheduled for July 18. However, he has an additional pre-trial on July 13, which is his deadline to accept a plea of guilty.

According to court documents, Hernandez penetrated a girl under the age of 17 without the minor's consent. 

If Hernandez is found guilty, he will receive a jail sentence of 2-20 years, and up to a $10,000 fine. Sexual assault of a minor is a second degree felony.

Other cases presented to the court today were sexual assault cases of Francisco Blanco, Angelo Colon, Rudolpho Hernandez, Clayton Kitchens, Alejandro Perez and Larry Ramos, who has 7 total charges. Additionally, Hunter M. Tumlinson is accused of online solicitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.

Jason Little and Malcolm G. McBurnett are charged with manslaughter., and Stephano Culbreath, who is accused of murder and possession of a controlled substance, was back in court today. Michael Keene’s pretrial, which concerned a car accident involving death, was canceled this morning; however, it was rescheduled for the July 13, and a jury trial is planned for July 18. For more about Keene’s case, check out San Angelo LIVE!’s report on the incident.
