Early on the morning of Dec. 15, 2015, employees of the Veribest Independent School District found extensive graffiti damage to their buildings on campus that occurred over night.
The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 7:40 a.m. and responded with patrol deputies, Crime Scene Unit and Criminal Investigators. Investigators collected evidence at the scene and were able to develop investigatory leads.

Two suspects were identified through interviews of school personnel. The investigation led to the arrest of one juvenile for Criminal Mischief over $750.00 but less than $30,000.00 at a school, a State Jail Felony Offense.
Investigators obtained and served an arrest warrant for the second suspect in the case, Ricardo Orosco, a 17-year-old male. Orosco was also charged with or Criminal Mischief over $750.00 but less than $30,000.00 at a school.

The juvenile was transported to the Tom Green County Juvenile Detention Facility and Orosco was booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
