Big Spring Police Make Drug and Firearms Bust

 

On Thursday Dec. 3, at approximately 3 p.m., the Big Spring Police Department and Howard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 1207 S. Benton, which resulted in a drug and firearms bust, said a press release Thursday.

According to the release, the warrant was a result of an investigation conducted by the Big Spring Police Department Narcotic Unit. During the search, narcotic investigators seized a quantity of crack cocaine, Hydrocodone pills and three firearms.

The suspects, Guadalupe Canales, 31, was placed under arrest and charged with Possession Controlled Substance, a Felony 2 offense, and Cresencia Rios, 32, was placed under arrest and charged with a Class A Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both subjects were transported to the Howard County Jail and were arraigned this morning, said the press release.
