DPS Jails Two Wanted for Money Laundering

 

Two out-of-towners were picked up by DPS on Wednesday for warrants out of Eastland County and booked into the county jail at just after 5:30 p.m. The man and woman, 25-year-old Michael Angelo Garcia and 26-year-old Hillary Denise Zuniga, were both wanted for money laundering >/= $20k<$100k, a third-degree felony. Both are currently being held in lieu of a $7,500 surety bond.

In addition, 25 others were jailed on Wednesday, among them a majority booked on warrants and committments. In total there were six counts of marijuana possession, four of DWI, three of theft, two of  assault and public intoxication, and one apiece for burglary, possession, obstructing a highway passageway, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping. 

Twenty-four inmates were released on Wednesday.
