US 277 Closed After Crash Outside San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Authorities are investigating a major vehicle crash that occurred outside San Angelo on Wednesday morning. 

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office issued a nixle alert just before 8 a.m. The alert stated that all lanes of traffic on North U.S. Highway 277 between FM 2105 and Old Ballinger Highway are closed due to a "major traffic accident." 

Emergency responders are blocking all access in the area, closing exit ramps and re-routing traffic.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation. This story will be updated if any more information is released.
