Texas Man Dies After Van Overturns in I-20 Crash Near Cisco

EASTLAND COUNTY, TX — A 34-year-old Fort Worth man died early Thursday in a crash on Interstate 20, three miles west of Cisco, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Keith William Roggasch was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Express passenger van eastbound on I-20 around 3:20 a.m. when he failed to control his speed and struck the back of a 2017 Freightliner truck tractor towing a box semi-trailer, DPS stated. The impact caused his vehicle to overturn in the center median and come to rest on the cable barrier.

Roggasch was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Jesse Speer. The truck driver, 35-year-old David Pelegrin Torres of Odessa, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

DPS reported clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
