Houston Man, 68, Dies in Early Morning Crash in Brown County

 

BROWN COUNTY, TX — A single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of a 68-year-old Houston man on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

This happened around 7:40 a.m. on Farm to Market Road 45 near milepost 346 in Brown County.

Aldo Ray McMahon was driving a 2016 Peterbilt 389 towing a semi-trailer when the vehicle veered off the road due to unsafe speed on a curve, increased by wet road conditions caused by overcast weather and drizzle.

The vehicle overturned on its top, leading to McMahon's death at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The speed limit in the area is posted at 65 mph.
