WATCH: Driver Trapped in Downtown Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— A crash in Downtown San Angelo left one person trapped inside their vehicle.

Around 12:15 p.m., a major crash that involved an entrapped individual was called at South Randolph Street and Twohig Street in Downtown San Angelo.

According to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a witness stated that a Mazda SUV was traveling south on Randolph Street and a GMC truck was heading west on Twohig Street. The driver of the Mazda SUV disregarded a stop sign and was struck by the GMC truck.

The officer told San Angelo LIVE! that the San Angelo Fire Department was called to the scene to extract the driver of the Mazda SUV, who could not get out of the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital for treatment but there were no life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mazda was also cited for disregarding a stop sign.
