Structure Fire Causes $25,000 Damage in Abilene Home

 

ABILENE, TX - A fire caused an estimated $25,000 in damage to a single-family home in the 1900 block of North 7th Street early Friday morning, according to the Abilene Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched at around 3:30 a.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the southeast corner and east gable of the structure. Crews initiated an attack and extinguished the fire.

Salvage and overhaul efforts were conducted at the scene. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
