Disregard for a Stop Sign Causes Crash on Ave Q

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash at the intersection of Ben Ficklin Rd and Avenue Q stalled traffic on Monday, December 30.

A 2-vehicle crash between a white Chevy Silverado and a dark grey Honda Sedan.

According to the San Angelo Police officer on the scene, the driver of the Silverado received a citation for disregarding the spot sign at the intersection.

The Honda was at the stop sign at Ben Ficklin when the white Silverado pulled up to the intersection, attempting to make it to Bryant Blvd. The Silverado did not stop and crashed into the Honda in the intersection.

The crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported, but Police scanner reports indicated that a 2-year old was checked out by emergency personnel on the scene.
