9-Year-Old Hospitalized After Crash with Odessa Utility Vehicle

 

ODESSA, TX – A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized Thursday after being struck by a City of Odessa utility vehicle while riding his bicycle, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pile Ranch Road and Valley Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the utility vehicle was traveling westbound on Pile Ranch Road when it collided with the child.

The boy was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa in stable condition. DPS stated that the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.
