SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Highland Boulevard and South Chadbourne Street sent two people to the hospital on Thursday.
It happened around 2 p.m. According to police, a silver Ford Escape traveling southbound collided with a black Hyundai Sonata traveling eastbound. The driver of the Sonata allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign, resulting in the crash.
Both occupants of the Ford Escape were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were described as non-incapacitating. The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was uninjured and remained at the scene. Authorities have issued a citation to the Sonata driver for failure to yield the right-of-way.
Additionally, the driver of the Ford Escape was cited for driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without insurance.
Emergency crews cleared the scene without significant disruptions to nearby traffic.
