SAN ANGELO, TX – A driver walked away unscathed after being briefly trapped in an overturned truck following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of West Harris Avenue and North Jefferson Street on Thursday.
The crash happened when a blue Toyota Tacoma, traveling eastbound on Harris Avenue, ran a stop sign and collided with a red Hyundai Sonata heading southbound on Jefferson Street. The impact flipped the Tacoma onto its side, trapping the driver inside for a short time.
First responders worked to free the driver from the wreckage. Neither the driver nor the truck’s passenger sustained injuries.
The Sonata, carrying two occupants, was sent into a wooden picket fence nearby. Both individuals in the Sonata were evaluated at the scene and released without injury.
The driver of the Tacoma was cited for disregarding the stop sign, police said at the scene.
