Rollover Crash at Abe and Twohig Leaves One Injured

SAN ANGELO, TX - A rollover crash at the intersection of W Twohig Ave and S Abe St in San Angelo this afternoon left one person with non-incapacitating injuries, according to police.

The crash involved a white SUV and a red car, both traveling southbound on Abe Street. Police said the SUV, which was in the third lane from the left, attempted to turn onto Twohig from the incorrect lane, leading to the crash. The red car, traveling in the inside lane, overturned as a result.

The crash occurred before rain began in the area, police said. They also said the crash was captured on surveillance footage from a nearby bank. Investigators confirmed the sequence of events using the video.

The driver of the red car reported pain and was transported to a hospital. Police described the injuries as non-incapacitating. The SUV’s driver and a dog, who were the only occupants of that vehicle, were unharmed.

The driver of the white SUV will receive a citation for making a turn from the wrong lane, with additional citations possible pending further investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
