SAN ANGELO, TX — An elderly driver was hospitalized after accidentally pressing the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing their vehicle to drive over a rock near the Shannon Clinic shortly around noon Wednesday.
This happened near the intersection of East Beauregard Avenue and South Magdalen Street. San Angelo Police at the scene reported that the driver, who requested medical evaluation, was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
A passenger in the vehicle was uninjured. The car sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.
No further injuries or hazards were reported.
