Teen Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes Into Parked Car on Briargrove

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A minor driving a Jeep crashed into an unoccupied, parked Mazda in the 3200 block of Briargrove Ln around 10 a.m. Saturday after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel, police said.

The Mazda was parked legally on the side of the residential street and sustained damage in the collision.

No injuries were reported, and the Jeep driver declined medical treatment at the scene.

Authorities said there was no indication the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The teenager was released to their parents, and no citations have been issued at this time.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
