Pedestrian Struck at Avenue L and South Bryant

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police and firefighters responded to a crash Wednesday evening near Santa Fe Furniture, at the intersection of West Avenue L and South Bryant Boulevard, where a pedestrian was reportedly struck and severely injured.

As police diverted traffic, medics tended to the injured man, who was lying face down on the roadway. After stabilizing him on the scene, emergency personnel transported the man to Shannon Medical Center with lights and sirens activated.

The combination of frequent foot traffic in the area and the low sun angle may have contributed to the incident. Two lanes of South Bryant were blocked during the response. The crash occurred just before 7 p.m., and the scene was cleared by 7:45 p.m.
