Crash at West Harris and Abe Sends Multiple to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash sent multiple people to the hospital this afternoon after a crash involving a red Chevy Cruze and a GMC Yukon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Harris Avenue and South Abe Street.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the GMC Yukon, carrying four occupants—three of them minors—was traveling east on West Harris when a Chevy Cruze, heading west, attempted to turn left onto South Abe.

Police said the driver of the Cruze failed to yield the right of way while turning, leading to the crash.

All four occupants of the Yukon were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the Cruze was treated and released at the scene. The driver also received a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
