Crash Sends Semi-Truck Careening into Church

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— A semi-truck and a Honda SUV crashed this afternoon and sent the semi-truck off the road ultimately clipping a church. The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department wit Quail Creek VFD tended the crash scene.

At around 5 p.m., a semi-truck and a Honda Element crashed at the intersection of FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road. The semi-truck skid off the road about 200 feet and damaged the roof of Northridge Church. One person was rushed to Shannon ER and no one was injured on church property.

The Honda Element had extensive front end damage, rear damage, and the driver was trapped for a time. Debris was scattered across the road and traffic had to be diverted while the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department cleaned the roadway and the Department of Public Safety worked the crash.

One person was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

The cause of the crash is also unknown at this time.
