Driver Cited After Red Light Violation Causes Crash, Sends One To Hospital

 

​​SAN ANGELO, TX - A white Toyota Highlander disregarded a red light, resulting in a crash and one person being sent to the hospital. 

This happened at the intersection of North Bryant Boulevard and West 19th Street around 2 p.m. today. 

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the crash happened as a Toyota was traveling southbound on North Bryant Boulevard. Simultaneously, a gray Audi Q5 was moving eastbound on 19th Street, which had a green light.

Several witnesses reported that the Toyota ran the red light, leading to the collision. 

The driver of the Toyota was issued a citation for the red light violation. She was transported to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, while two children in the vehicle did not report any injuries.

No injuries were reported in the Audi Q5.
