Biker Dead After Hitting Small Dog

 

MIDLAND, TX – A Midland man died on Monday after spending more than two weeks in the hospital following a collision with a small dog while on his motorcycle.

According to multiple reports, on Oct. 1, 2023, law enforcement and EMS were dispatched to the east service road of South Loop 250 in response to a motorcycle crash.

Once on the scene, it was discovered that a man, later identified as Abel Ponce, had collided with a small dog and was seriously injured. EMS transported Ponce to Midland Memorial Hospital, where life-saving measures were administered.

Unfortunately, after 16 days, Ponce was pronounced dead. No report was given on the condition of the dog.
