Driver's Unsafe Move Totals Car Near Downtown

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A driver making an unsafe move to the left caused a major crash near downtown Tuesday afternoon.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Sep. 26, 2023, at around 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Abe and Beauregard for the report of a major crash.

Once on the scene, the officers discovered a Chrysler 300 and a black Dodge Ram that had crashed in the middle of the intersection.

Officers confirmed that the Chrysler was in the far lane on the southbound side of Abe. The truck had left the Shell on the corner and attempted to go south as well.

Once on Abe, the truck driver tried to go into an alley near Eskimo Hut from the second to farthest lane, resulting in the crash.

The driver was cited for an unsafe movement to the left. He was checked out on the scene but was not seriously injured. The passengers of the Chrysler were uninjured.
