Water Valley Community Mourns Teen Struck by Vehicle

 

WATER VALLEY, TX – The Water Valley community is mourning the loss of a teen was tragically killed over the weekend.

According to members of the family, on Aug. 27, 2023, Kyle Jones, 14, of Water Valley was struck by a vehicle and was killed.

Jones was a member of Water Valley's local FFA chapter and the Artistic Society. Both of these organizations have announced they will be helping the family as well as honor Jones.

To honor Jones, the entire community will be wearing blue while at school or just across town on Monday. The Artistic Society has also planned an event.

"The Water Valley Artist Society and Voss Art Studio will be donating markers, drawing supplies and paper to aid in the crisis teams efforts as we come together to grieve, show love and support Kyle Jones' friends and family," said the WVAS on its Facebook. "If anyone could contribute a set of markers or decorative papers to make cards, feel free to do so. Counselor Colwell will be setting up a space for students."
